How do I use alpha?

I wanna mask things away from my texture so its transparent.
I got a texture that got different colors and I also got a mask texture (black and white),

when Im working in the OED how do I set it up then?.,
so I can get it masked.

I have the mask texture on the alpha texture, and I have chosen opaqity, but it does mask it away.
nothing happend.

so how do I do?. give me a little tutorial :)

transparency with alpha can be done in photoshop, i use DXTbmp to extract alpha into photoshop, that way the fileformat is exactly what it should be, plus it imports the chanel back onto the skin.

aside from reflections i dont see why you dont adjust transparencies after your model is compiled and placed into the game... i know that works that way cause i change all of Novas skins Alphas and they are compiled past OED....
