weapon.def in DFX xtreme and adding JO wepons to DFX xtreme

I'd like to know what all the code is in the weapon.def, is there a file which explains all the possible settings? Would love to create a DFX mod containing all the JO weapons witrh realistic ranges. Hope someone can help.

Nova left half of the JO code in DFX, it should be possible to put JO weapons in DFX. I guess without any difficulty. Still missing a list of the meaning of the code lines in the ammo and weapon.def. Feels like trial and error, now. If someone has a list, do share it.
And what steps are to be made to add the JO weapons to the DFX engine. The ammo.def has all the info for the JO weapons. Can I just copy and paste from the JO install files?

for some "anti-mod" reason nova has once again changed the 3di format for DFX. JO 3di models are not compatible with DFX.

That sucks, the game is great fun. Started editting the ammo and weapon def files. Can snipe as never before, but I wanted to add a ton of weapons from JO. Talked to Dv, he had a look also, hope he can import it into a nice mod. A reality mod for dfx would be awesome. Thanks for the reply.

actually you can put the weapon in as a item in the item def. the 1st person shows up in nile laying flat on its side, the 3rd person model shows it sitting upright like it should. but in game as a weapon all you see for 1st person is some lines coming to a point out in front of you.

Syn, i managed to import the P90 in to DFx, u need to Makesure that every file is brought in otherwise it looks stupid!!

what i did is insert the P90 Stuff from Weapons.def
Then in Ravens PFF tools do a 'Advanced Filter' and search (in this case p90) and EVERY File that comes up insert into the mod section of DFx,

it deff works, (Cant remember for sure but i think i sent Trigger a pic)

to unlock the Expansion setting in DFx u need to just change the Target on the icon to

" /exp modname

Hum, pasted the info of JO in the weapon.def, get the scope, but no view of the gun itself. Can select the sr-25 though. Will look further into it.

Still need to fix the scope, but it works a charm, like to attach the DFX scope which I personally prefer, just getting started, but this some awesome stuff

good job guys! i guess i was miss informed by someone who had gotten the game before the release date. he told me for some reason the format was different and i did not take the time to look into it myself. once again good job guys!

Odd thing is, on the SR-25 didn't have sound problems, but on the G36 I have no sound whatsoever, must have missed a couple of files.
