Need help positioning

i would like to know how to position the weapon, in specifics, lol. like, which numbers in the spot do what. I'm pretty sure there in the pos and Tpos lines, but if i'm wrong, feel free to correct me, lol

i will make a simple 3ds of 1st person and 3rd person weapons position. and post it in the weapons models section of the forum

you need to make a center point for your 3rd and 1st person 3di files.

for the 3rd person put a 0.01 for all x y and z corodinates for the cube and name it _01

then place it on the handle of the gun. make sure you line it center of your handle.


now for the first person view just move the center point from the front view of the weapon down and too the right which will put the gun off center to the right on your screen.

you can tweek the cp in first person view to were you want it on screen. i just prefer it on the right off center.

well i have all the positioning done, it's just rotating the thing to face forward that's anoying me now, lol

yeah it can be. well in 3dsm you have 4 views and you can change them to be front back left right and perspective. so just select all and rotate it till the front view shows the barrel of the gun facing the right way. if the barrel of the gun is facing to the guys right, rotate it to 180 degrees in the front view and it should be facing forward. hope that helps
