I wanted to change the weapons' range in Delta Force 1, but I can't find the weapons.def file. Please help me out!!! (I opeded df.pff and there was only items.def and loop.def in it):o

Make sure you check all of the .pff files. I think this inclides localres.pff, resource.pff and i don't think it would be in the med.pff but you could check anyways.

The only pffs I see in my Delta Force folder is df.pff, dfbase.pff, df1.pff and _updated.pff. Do I need some DF editing software in order to get the pffs you told me? Or maybe I ain't looking in the right folder or somehting... Still, is there any chance that I get localres.pff, resource.pff? Or maybe it's possible to download weapons.def from somewhere and add it to my df.pff file? Thanks for the tip, by the way

prezakiasblues is right as far as I can tell; I took a look and didn't see any trace of weapons.def. Maybe they defined the weapons in a different file for that game.

Thanks in advance, man! To me it seems that Novalogic is being absurd. Sierra released the full version of Half-life SDK a long time ago and that kept all the mod lovers happy. On another thread I read that Novalogic is not planning to release any source code for Delta Force.... Oh well...

P.S.: SHould anyone have any info on modifying the existing DF1 weapons, please let me know...

i have looked at alot of the pff files for df games and they dident use a weapons.def till bhd came out (New Game engine). I havent try decrpting the idems.def yet but you might want to look in there because they might of put the gun coding in there

Yeah, the .pffs i mentioned (localres, resource) must only be in the newer Delta Force games. I wish you good luck! (I know how much of a pain in the ass nova's games can be to mod!)

No offence intenden prezakiasblues, but it sounds to me like you're trying to do this only to cheat. If I'm wrong, please excuse me and explain what you are hoping to do (a df1 mod?)
