Posting Skins

Postby werk71 » 07-26-2006 01:03 PM

i just got to say, when posting skins why is everybody posting low resolution shots.

People are posting skins but how can you tell if they are pixelated...

if you are a Skinner. you should have your graphics Maxed out when making a screenshot..

1280*1024
6*AA 16*AF

Adaptive AA
HQ AF

Quality with Trilenear
AF optimised
Trilenear Optimised

dont use Vertical Sync if you have hard time with high settings...

note*
Temporal AA will overide vertical Sync, so will forcing 24bit stuff..

so dont use if Vertical Sync is off...

otherwise the computer isnt gona render your work right, the lower the settings the less details, the computer will stop rendering TGA textures and Alpha maps at lower resolutions...

I think it's because there is a little notice that says to keep images below 640x480. A notice I've obviously chosen to completely disregard on so many occasions...LOL

Anyway- ppl can still post a higher res screeny at 680x...just crop a larger one down....if yr posting a weapons skin...we don't need half a jungle and the sky in it too...

Or if you want to keep the size and resolution you can post the thumbnail links on Image Shack. It's easy to do, it has a number of text boxes with descriptions for each one - i.e. Direct Link to Image, Thumbnail for Forums, etc.
