Using stock DDS textures on new items.

Postby Steve-S » 03-09-2005 07:17 PM

I tried making a new item using a texture that's already in the stock .pff but in game the texture doesn't show up. Do I need to store the extracted DDS texture in the new pff also? I was thinking if a way could be found to not do so the mod could be ALOT smaller by using stock textures. Perhaps not. :(

Doh! Yea, it's listed at tga by the 3di importer. Hadn't thought of that. ASE is a text file so I'll try a manual edit and see what happens.

Thanks

Edit> :( No Joy. The ASE has it listed as dds. I even tried packing the dds file into the pff but it still didn't take. What a bummer.

I tried that today. I transfered the dds to a targa and tried loading it for that texture. It REALLY messed up all the skinning. I think I'm going to have to re-do the skinning completely. What a drag. :(
