Alpha in JO

Postby coolduderyan07 » 05-09-2006 01:48 PM

For some reason my object's alpha channel doesnt show up in JO,... It seems fine in the OED, but in-game its not. Anyone know why?

The alphas work in the OED cause its a BHD object Editor.. its the conversion to JO that screws it up.. as DV's converter doesnt properly convert the alphas

so the fix would be open the 3di with a hex editer . scroll down to where you see the glass texture.tga and where it says FF_ST_OP right before the texture name change the OP to AB and hit save that should work

Loa is right, that is the best way to fix it if you are using alpha blend, really nothing else you can do, if it normal opaque alpha that you are using and not alpha blend, and you are still getting that problem, it could be something with the texture.

Keep in mind.. before there was mod tools.. we were modding BHD.. LOL..

In the past the only way to mod at all was to figure out the file formats.. so sometimes we still fall back on our old ways..
