Found this for those who never get around to unwrapping their models because they don't know how/where to start...

THANKS! I've been looking for a tutorial on how to begin skinning weapons, and finnally found one! This needs to be stickied.

I'm suprised the tutorial is still up.

remember to egt the texporter plugin for max. it makes a colour map and makes it easy to skin

cool. i only wish something like that was available for people without 3-D modelling programs, like me, that want to skin a gun from scratch and wrap their models around it without having to see it in game to view what a model looks like skinned.

erm thts wat texporter does the moddeler gives the skinner a template net image of his/her model

yes, but you need a program like max to unwrap the model it appears after looking at the tutorial??

i can always just have someone unwrap something for me
