Example: Character Model in 3D Studio Max

You can create character model using only "NL ASE exporter plug-in"! Also is necessary it to be good familiar with 3ds max.

Here soldier for example (max 5.1)
Look a structure and names there.

Names for main bones:
BN01 - Hips
BN02 - Lower Spine
BN03 - Upper Spine
BN04 - R Clavicle
BN05 - L Clavicle
BN06 - R Upper Arm
BN07 - L Upper Arm
BN08 - R Thigh
BN09 - L Thigh
BN10 - R Forearm
BN11 - L Forearm
BN12 – R Calf
BN13 – L Calf
BN14 - Neck
BN15 - Head
BN16 – L Hand
BN17 - R Hand
BN18 - R Foot
BN19 - L Foot

only instead of a green cross, select vertexes with red cross,
and instead bone names "bip01", write "BN01".

One problem. The hands fasten to shoulders (Clavicle). Shoulders
fastens to "BN03 - Upper Spine", but 3ds max attaches shoulders to a neck (BN14 Neck ), and as a result hands leave from a body in game. I do not know as it to correct in max, but know as deceive OED.
Open yours model .ase file in notepad, and find there this text:

*NODE_NAME "BN04 R Clavicle"
*NODE_PARENT "BN14 Neck"

change it on

*NODE_NAME "BN04 R Clavicle"
*NODE_PARENT "BN03 Upper Spine"

Too do for "BN05 - L Clavicle", and your model will be in game with hands.

When you export in NL .ase file, make sure that these parameters are marked:

Ahh rgr, I have alot of files on the net, Just not all out in the download section yet on the mod depot side of the house. Theres over 130 plus files I have in my other download section at http://www.txpfone3d.com and still adding LOL , I moved alot out last night. Still need to move my old texture gallery over to the new one once I get the rest of the new site sorted out
